Guiding Principle:  I’m dedicated to helping my clients envision and create fulfilling paths and relationships, to face and process grief, and manage anxiety, stress, and depression. Using a psychodynamic approach, coupled with evidenced-based techniques, I assist individuals and couples in exploring their beliefs, expectations, hopes, and sorrows. I enjoy collaborating and providing a welcoming, safe environment that is free of judgement, and one which we will discuss struggles and strengths together. We don’t have to be controlled by pain, disappointment, or sadness. Our sessions together will provide a place for you to develop tools to cope with life’s stresses.

Additional Training or Expertise: Thanatology/Thanatologist – expertise in grief, death, and dying (not only for grief counseling but for those who are terminally ill, caretakers, etc.)
Additional Professional Affiliations: I was certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional by PESI in 2020 (please note: not currently active now)
Undergrad / Grad Schools: Undergrad: Hunter College in NYC, NY. Grad: Hood College in Frederick, MD.
What I’m most proud of in my work with clients:

I’m most proud of helping my clients grow. Seeing a person break free from the shackles of suffering, whether depression, anxiety, or other issues, is one of the greatest honors I’ve had in life.

What inspires me:

My clients inspire me: people who have decided to understand why they feel as they do, and then determine to change what they can.

What someone would be surprised to know about me:

For a few months, I lived at the base of an active volcano in South America.
